The Scrum Open assessment, available in its current form since October 2009, has been taken more than 2,500 times. This free assessment is widely used by the Scrum community as a way to benchmark basic understanding of the Scrum framework. The Scrum Open assessment is grounded in the Scrum Guide, which was written by Scrum co-creators Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland. The Scrum Guide is available in 14 different languages at http://www.scrum.org/scrumguides/.
The aggregate results of these 2,500 assessments are now available at http://www.scrum.org/scrum-open-results/. We recommend using these aggregate results to better understand the context for individual assessment results.
While the free Scrum Open assessment does not lead to certification, it is often used a practice for the Professional Scrum Master I assessment, which does lead to certification. An introduction to the Scrum.org assessment program is available at http://www.scrum.org/assessments/.
