What are PSD (.NET) Trainers?
PSD Trainers are part of an elite, international community that includes consultants, coaches, respected authors, conference presenters, and user group leaders. They are expert practitioners in Scrum, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and modern software development practices. They are energetic and enthusiastic trainers, eager to meet and lead teams to process improvement. When a trainer delivers a PSD course, he or she must wear many hats: instructor, Product Owner, Scrum Master, technical support, and coach. A high level of professionalism, great communication skills, and the ability to adapt to unique situations are requirements of a successful PSD Trainer.
What are the benefits of becoming a PSD Trainer?
As a PSD Trainer, you will be recognized as an expert in the Scrum, Visual Studio, and software development domains. There are other more tangible benefits as well:
- Schedule and deliver public or private Professional Scrum Developer (.NET) courses
- Advertise any public courses on http://courses.scrum.org
- Have a profile on Scrum.org http://courses.scrum.org/people
- Be listed on Scrum.org trainer page http://courses.scrum.org/people
- Be listed on Microsoft’s MSDN page
- Trainers in secondary markets receive discounted pricing on courseware licensing.
- Leverage Scrum.org’s PSD courseware and materials so you don’t have to maintain your own.
- Direct access to up-to-date courseware, class, and other prep materials.
- Network with other Professional Scrum Trainers on dedicated discussion lists and at exclusive events.
How do I become a PSD Trainer?
Becoming a PSD Trainer for Scrum.org is a rigorous but relatively straight-forward process. Trainer candidates must complete an initial application (see below) and be invited to attend a train-the-trainer event. The trainer event includes seven (7) full days of training, after which the trainer candidate must pass two rigorous assessments. Upon completing these steps, the candidate must then receive approval from both course instructors, before being invited to become a trainer with Scrum.org.

- Receive invitation from Scrum.org to attend a train-the-trainer event.
- Take a Professional Scrum Foundations course with a designated instructor (by invitation only).
- Take a Professional Scrum Developer course with the program developer (by invitation only).
- Achieve at least a 90% score on the PSM I assessment.
- Achieve at least a 95% score on the PSD I assessment.
- Receive approval from both instructors.
- Review and agree to all the terms of being a PST, which are contained in the trainer license.
