Support Frequently Asked Questions

I did not receive a verification email after signing up for a Scrum.org member account. Where is it?

Occasionally, Scrum.org notification emails are caught in spam filters due to network security or firewall settings. Try:

  • Checking your spam folder for our verification email.
  • Adding info@scrum.org and support@scrum.org to your email client’s friendly contacts and safe-senders list in order to receive important communications from Scrum.org in the future.
  • Contacting us for assistance if you did not find your verification email in your spam folder.

Where/How can I access The Scrum Guide?

The Scrum Guide is freely available to the public in many different languages. You can download it now here.

I can't access the Scrum Open assessment / the Questions are loading slowly. What should I do?

Users have reported this problem as being resolved by taking the following steps:

Under the Internet Options on your browser, select Connections / LAN Settings and then turn off the Proxy server radial button.

If your access to the Scrum Open assessment is still being blocked, the cookie policy on your internet browser may need to be set more broadly.

How can I take the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment?

You can purchase an attempt at the PSM I assessment by clicking ‘Get Password’ from our PSM I assessment information page. You are welcome to purchase additional PSM I attempts, if desired.

I have placed an order for a Scrum.org assessment password but I have not received it yet. Where is it?

After you place your assessment order, we will email the password to you within one full business day. If more than one full business day has passed since placing your order, try:

  • Checking your spam folder for our verification email.
  • Adding info@scrum.org and support@scrum.org to your email client’s friendly contacts and safe-senders list in order to receive important communications from Scrum.org in the future.
  • Contacting us for assistance if you did not find your password email in your spam folder.

How do I achieve Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) Certification?

Achieving Professional Scrum Master I Certification requires passing our PSM I assessment with a score of 85% or higher. We recommend attending a Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF) course to prepare for the PSM I assessment, but attending a Scrum.org course is not required to take the PSM I assessment.
I have passed my PSM I assessment but have not yet received my PSM I certificate. Where is it?

If you have passed any of our Professional level assessments, a downloadable, printable certificate and badge will be available from your Scrum.org account profile within a couple of hours after finishing your assessment session.

To access your profile, click your name, which will appear at the top of any Scrum.org page whenever you are logged in to your account.

Please note that some versions of Internet Explorer have had issues downloading our certificates. If you have difficulty downloading your certificate and are using IE, please try again with an alternative internet browser.
