The Professional Scrum Developer I (PSD I) assessment is available to anyone who wishes to validate their knowledge of how to build complex software products using Scrum. Those passing the assessment receive the industry recognized PSD I Certification.
Taking a course is not required. While taking a Professional Scrum Developer course is highly recommended, if you feel you already possess a high level of knowledge, you have the option to take the PSD I assessment directly. The PSD I assessment is grounded in the Professional Scrum Developer subject areas. The assessment is exhaustive and rigorous. Many questions ask the test-taker to think about or interpret the meaning from the Scrum Guide and/or to apply content from the PSD subject areas. Or, in some cases, apply their own experience.
*Students who complete a PSD course are sent one free password following the course. You must be logged in with your Scrum.org account to take Scrum.org assessments. If you don't already have an account, you can create an account here.

If you pass the PSD I assessment you will receive the industry-recognized "PSD I" certification, along with a PSD I logo that you can use to identify your achievement. In addition, your name will be listed on Scrum.org.
