Hi,

Most discussions about scrum are regarding scrum software development. We would like to use scrum within product marketing (delivering other deliverables than software).

Within software development tools like TFS are being used mostly, because of the integration with software development tools. I might be too much for us.

Does anybody have suggestions for online tools that can be used for managing backlogs according to scrum in other departments?

Thanks in advance

There are plenty of commercial tools - Rally, Jira, ALM (HP) or you can even use excel. Free tools from Mike - https://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com//tools. Since Agile is a matured framework now, I am sure you will find lots of open source tools on Google.

Hi,
I find tools like https://trello.com/ worked very well.
A light weight visualisation tool is what I have found works best.
I use TFS for my engineering teams.
Thanks

If you're still looking, you might find real user reviews for the tools already mentioned on IT Central Station to be helpful.

As an example, this user writes in his review of CA Agile Central (formerly known as Rally), "We have many teams that work on different modules and every team can follow what the other team is doing at the moment, so as to take a decision about taking the user story into the sprint or wait, till the dependent team finishes its work. So, it suits distributed and big projects." You can read the rest of his review here

I'd like to suggest ZenTao online tool that can be used for managing backlogs according to scrum in other departments.

When collaborating with a team, there is no better tool than zentao.
