Nexus knowledge needed for PSM2?

Hi,

I am preparing for the PSM2 assessment, and from my previous attempt (2012) I remember quite some questions about Scrum with more than one team. I had no experience on that, then, and no clue that I could be getting questions like that.

I am three years wiser now, and going for it again. But the Scrum with more than one team questions, and with the new Nexus framework out, I am wondering if Nexus has made its way into the PSM2 assessment.

Can someone tell this to me?
Thanks.

I strongly believe Nexus will make its way into almost all of the assessments while it may not have questions such as "what is Nexus Sprint ..." while it will definitely have questions such as " in case of more than one team ...".

Thanks. Not exactly what I was looking for of course, but I guess using Nexus correctly in an answer to a question about scaling will certainly not be viewed as unfavorable ;-)

Yes. For sure ... but only as long as you really understand the principles behind nexus more than nexus itself ...

Scaling has always been an important aspect of the Scrum Masters knowledge domain.

Given that there is a specific assessment in Scaling Professional Scrum which goes in depth on nexus, I suspect that the current PSM exam will not feature questions specific to this scaling framework. Maybe in the future... The exams I recently took didn't feature specific Nexus Questions, except on the SPS exam, which featured loads of 'm.

Nexus also doesn't feature in the PSM knowledge domain.

Though the addition of Nexus to the Scrum.org materials makes it interesting, as Nexus is in some ways more strict that Scrum is. (For example on alignment of sprints). And I do know for a fact that the Nexus exam has a couple of questions that start with "In Scrum" or "In Nexus" which would lead to different answers depending on the prefix.

+1 to Jesse's answer. There are definitely questions that involve multiple teams on the PSM 2, but I believe that they are not Nexus specific -- more scrum specific.
