How does the SM address when encountered with challenges (hypothetical) like the ones listed below.

- No Impediments being raised/reported during the Daily Scrum
- Members showing up late/not attending Daily Scrum
- Perception that Tool already has details on what has been done yesterday etc.,

What would be the suggested approach in addressing them.

Scrum is an empirical process which values transparency and the proactive use of evidence. What are the consequences of the behaviors you are describing? How are team members evidencing and replanning their progress towards the Sprint Goal?

To me the Daily Scrum is not about telling each other what has been done yesterday, what will be done today and what are the impediments. Instead, I want the team to look at the sprint burn down and discuss if they will make the sprint goal. If not, what can be done about it. You could also examine the sprint backlog and ask questions:
- "how come there is no progress on user story X for some time?"
- "Yesterday you planned to finish story Y, what caused it not to be ready today?"
- "If John seems to be running out of work, what will he pick up next?"

On the other hand, if team members don't seem to respect the goals and timing of Scrum meetings, you have a different challenge and you should discuss it with the team.

- "If John seems to be running out of work, what will he pick up next?"
I'd rather ask - "If John seems to be running out of work, where can he help ?"
in order to invite team members to finish the work in progress before starting new tasks.
