Dear All,

What is the best method to estimate cost and resources for an Agile Projects?.

In traditional method where we have a big picture and needed list of tasks to be done so , based on we can conclude the required resource and estimate cost based on timeline.

how to handle project with fixed timeline using agile method ?.

Thanks
Senthil

How does having a fixed timeline work with your organisation's adoption of Agile?

If a Scrum Team has 8 members (including PO and SM), can you not calculate the cost using 8 x the amount each member is paid per day x number of days in the Sprint to give you an idea of how much per Sprint? Then the organisation can decide what features are worth spending that amount per Sprint are in some order of value.

Ask what they mean by 'complete a project'? How can they be sure there will be no changes to business needs, technology, etc.? Why would they want to be so sure?

How can we take a call , when client wants us to complete the entire project within 4 to 6 months of time. so adapting waterfall will be a good option ? or proceeding with multiple scrum team to meet the project deadline.

Does anyone actually want this to be run as an agile initiative, and if so, why? From what you say, it doesn't sound like there's much of an appetite for incremental risk mitigation and delivery.

Imagine the following scenario, where the client is searching for a company to work in a certain project that it expects to last like 5 years, and shows a fixed budget they can pay for it. How to measure if this amount of time is enough to conclude the project? and how to know if the money offered is enough to the project company to make profit of it? Usually the customers put it in to the market and ask the project companies to estimate their sales costs, and one of the criteria, the client take to account when it's deciding which company to hire, is the project companies's sales cost.  How to calculate it, as soon as it'll be necessary to have this info before the company even decides they'll provide the service?

I was reading a very good topic about ways of selling Agile through Target-Cost Contracts. I'm sharing it bellow:
