INTRODUCTION

Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) is a 3-day course that teaches how to create high-quality software using the Scrum framework. Working in a series of Sprints, teams of students collaborate, apply modern engineering practices, and use the Scrum framework to cope with change and deliver Increments of working software.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) is a 3-day hands-on course where you experience how to deliver quality software using Scrum with Agile and DevOps practices. This course teaches you why and how the Scrum Framework should be combined with modern DevOps engineering practices to improve a team’s capability to regularly deliver working software. Students practice real-life Scrum while working in teams during a series of Sprints to build a realistic product. They are introduced both to the mechanics, rules and principles of Scrum, and selected core engineering and technical patterns and practices that complement with Scrum. The course is the perfect choice for software development teams that are challenged by both processes and tools and can be taught either as a public or as a private course for teams within a company.

The course includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Developer certification exam (PSD).

Course Description

Professional Scrum Development is THE training for teams and anyone wanting to experience how the application of modern engineering practices in Scrum supports a team in creating releasable Increments of software.

Students concurrently do requirements engineering, design, develop, test, integrate, and deliver within a single iteration. They learn how to develop Increments of releasable functionality from a realistic Product Backlog.

The course teaches how Agile engineering practices and supportive ALM tools improve a team’s capabilities even more. The course is available with specific content and exercises for .NET and Java development, and can be tailored for other technology stacks.

The .NET version was developed in partnership with Microsoft® and is the official training solution for Microsoft Visual Studio.

Prerequisites
