Class Overview
Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF) is a 2-day course that provides the foundational knowledge needed to work with Scrum in a highly practical, engaging, and effective way. The course is a combination of instruction and team-based exercises where students experience how the Scrum framework improves product development efforts.
The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Master I certification exam (PSM I).
Through a dynamic mix of instruction and team-based activities, students will:

Learn and experience how the elements of Scrum are designed to help teams overcome complexity and deliver value more effectively

Work in a series of Sprints to experience iterative and incremental product development

Come away with valuable tips for identifying and addressing common pitfalls

Certification Assessments
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Foundations course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment. The industry-recognized PSM certification requires a minimum passing score. If you attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of the class and do not score at least 85%, you will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
PMI PDU Credits
Students of Scrum.org courses are able to claim Project Management Institute (PMI) PDU credit: 14 PDUs after attending a two-day Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF) course. Please note that PMI PDUs are earned for course attendance and not for passing a Scrum.org assessment. Students can claim PDUs under PMI's "Education courses provided by other third party providers” category. You can claim your PDUs online at https://ccrs.pmi.org.
