Class Inclusivity Features for those that are differently able

We know that more can always be done to help those with disabilities and we are exploring many technological techniques for helping those with dificulties by using:

  • Online Training - Train from the comfort of your own home.
  • Live captions in English - Microsoft Teams provides live closed captions in English for those that are hard of hearing
  • Live Translation in any Language (preview/experimentation) - You can request that we provide subtitles in any Language using Microsoft Translator Conversations.

Class Inclusivity Features for those in differnt economic context

Since our goal is to bring Scrum, Kanban, and their good practices to the world we need to accept that some markets just dont have the same buying power as Europe or the USA. To try and offset that reality we offer multiple ticket types that try to offset that inherant diference:

  • Primary Market Ticket - 100% market rate -  This ticket is for residents of countries that we consider to be in our primary market; Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
  • Secondary Market Ticket -  50% Primary -  Tickets for all countries not listed as primary. You will be asked for evidence of residence after processing.
  • Special Market Ticket - 25% Primary - These tickets are available through our local agents in Ghana, Nigeria, and other countries where purchase power has been assesed to require extra offset.

The 2-day Professional Scrum with Kanban (PSK) course teaches Scrum practitioners how to apply Professional Kanban practices to their work. Through theory, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will understand the importance of transparency and flow as it pertains to the Scrum framework.

The Scrum.org mission is to Improve the Profession of Software Delivery

Scrum is the defacto standard for how Agile teams work. Scrum exists only in its entirety and functions well as a container for other techniques, methodologies and practices. Scrum Teams keep improving how they work, based on what they learn by inspecting and adapting on an ongoing basis.

Learn Scrum from those that created and maintain it and Kanban from those that developed the Kanban Method

In this class, students will learn how Scrum Teams can introduce additional practises from Kanban while continuing the way they are already working today with Scrum, all without changing Scrum.
Scrum.org and our Professional Scrum Trainers have worked with Daniel Vacanti in the creation of this course. In 2007 Daniel helped to develop the Kanban Method for knowledge work. He managed the world’s first project implementation of Kanban that year and has been conducting Kanban training, coaching, and consulting ever since.

What Martin’s customers say about him:

Martin’s depth and breadth of knowledge and experience of the world of Agile/DevOps is incredible. He will switch between hands on development to advanced consulting or training on process, practices and tools to help you in your own DevOps journey. When the going gets tough in challenging situations he is super responsive and goes the extra mile to find solutions. He is passionate about what he does and is always trying to improve the way we work to build high value products and solutions. In particular his knowledge of all things TFS/VSTS is second to none. Down to earth and straight talking. Highly recommend!

Nancy Maher, Software Lifecycle Program Manager at Schlumberger

Katherine Maddox, Agile Coach at Healthgrades

Martin is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in helping teams become more agile and adopt DevOps practices especially around the Microsoft Azure platform and VSTS / TFS. But he is not limited to that stack with plenty of experience with competing and complimentary technologies. He explains things clearly and gets rid of any ‘smoke and mirrors’ to show how any team can make small improvements to improve how they work. He is one of the leading MVP’s globally for DevOps and someone myself and my colleagues in the Azure product group trust to give us honest and insightful feedback.

Martin Woodward, Principal Group Program Manager at Microsoft, Vice-President of the .NET Foundation

David Frisch, Technical Lead at Healthgrades

Martin came to give us some training for our Professional Scrum Foundation assessment. He was very knowledgeable and through his training we gained a great understanding of Scrum and how to work in an Agile way. The training itself was taught in an easy to understand way and Martin made the session fun and enjoyable to take part in. Martin was also able to answer questions and give us good advice on topics that were outside the scope of the training. I would highly recommend Martin for your Agile training needs.
