Professional Scrum Master

This course provides the concrete know-how on the practices that are required to be an effective Scrum Master. It presents in detail the agile processes and team dynamics, with a strong emphasis on the role of Scrum Master.

This course covers the benefits of an Agile approach working with Scrum, highlighting the differences between Scrum and the traditional development methodologies. Moreover, the power of visual management, pursuing and resolving impediments are made clear to trainees by means of practical exercises. Class format consists of workshops, visual media, and interactive activities.

The training closes with PSM I exam (if certification is also chosen with training). Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) is an industry recognized certificate for Scrum Masters to validate their knowledge.

Unlike Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), the Professional Scrum Master I Certificate does not require renewal.

Prerequisites

Attendees make the most of the class if they:

• Have studied the Scrum Guide (required)
• Have passed the Scrum Open assessment

Assessment and certification

The Professional Scrum Master course has two associated credentials: Professional Scrum Master level I (PSM I) and Professional Scrum Master level II (PSM II).
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master course with Examination option receive a password to take the PSM I assessment (two attempts) and are entitled to a discount on the PSM II assessment.
These industry-recognized certifications require a minimum passing score on the associated rigorous assessment. Scrum.org maintains a public list with everyone holding a PSM I and PSM II credential.
