This Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) class will be one of Scrum.org's selected live Virtual Classes. Advanced Scrum Master Training & Certification

Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) training is a 2-day advanced course with a combination of instruction and collaborative exercises to help experienced Scrum Masters further develop in their Agile journeys.

Building on the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course (which focuses on how to apply Scrum and serve as a Scrum Master), the PSM II course helps you understand the various stances of an effective Scrum Master, which stances can benefit different situations and how to effectively apply the stances when serving Development Teams, Product Owners and organizations:

Stances of a Successful Scrum Master

  • The Scrum Master as a Teacher.
  • The Scrum Master as a Coach & Mentor.
  • The Scrum Master as a Facilitator.
  • The Scrum Master as a Change Agent.

As a Scrum Master, your ability to identify and effectively apply the stance that will benefit a given situation the most is key to the success of whom you’re serving.

Over the 2 days, you’ll learn about important areas of growth as a successful Scrum Master, such as how the principles and values of Scrum can guide your decision-making, how to facilitate change and cultivate environments for agility to thrive.

As a Scrum Master, an important part of your role is to help the leaders of your organization understand the benefits of Agile and Scrum. Therefore, it’s imperative that you’re prepared to have the right types of conversations in order to establish credibility serve as an effective change agent. Throughout this course, you’ll experience stories, exercises, resources and facilitation techniques (such as “Liberating Structures”) that will equip you to engage your organization’s leadership.

There will also be time in class for the Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) to provide coaching on challenges that you and your classmates may be currently experiencing in your own work or possibly face in the future.

After participating in this class, you'll receive credentials to attempt the PSM II assessment and earn the industry-recognized PSM II Certification.  Earning your PSM II Certification makes you part of an elite community of nearly 8,000 PSM II badge holders from around the globe and unlike other Scrum training and certification organizations, your certification will never expire nor require future renewal fees.

Certification

After completing a Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) course, you'll receive credentials to attempt the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) assessment and earn the industry-recognized PSM II Certification. These credentials never expire, however should you attempt the PSM II assessment within 14 days after receiving your credentials and not receive a passing score, you'll be granted a 2nd attempt for no additional fee.
