Hello All - Project development work has been completed with unit testing. We are now on-boarding testing team to perform the SIT/Regression Testing. Would it be possible to perform the testing alone in Agile/Scrum ?

Why would you want to use Scrum in this situation?

Overall, it seems like the overall development effort was being run in a sequential manner, if development is now "completed" and is now in a testing activity. It's not clear what benefit would be desired by changing from a plan-driven or sequential approach to an agile approach at this point.

No, but should it become clear that the leap-of-faith taken in development was too great, and that the right product has not actually been built, you may then have to look to empiricism for remedy. At that point Scrum may be used and validated learning applied. You may wish to prepare for this situation with stakeholders.
