Am also preparing for PSM1 Test and Am referring "Scrum Narrative and PSM Exam Guide" by Mohammed Musthafa Soukath Ali. This is available in amezon Kindle. This looks good.

In my search, I came across popular books on Scrum, like Essential Scrum, Elements of Scrum, etc. But I wasn't sure if they would be helpful for PSM. Nor did I find much mention here in the forum.

I am using the book Scrum Narrative and PSM Exam Guide as advised by someone in the forum. I find it helpful. It provides practice questions alongside the content. However it is not available as hard cover but as an ebook. 

Prior to this, I read Scrum - A Pocket Guide. That was helpful from general scrum introduction perspective.

"Scrum - a pocket guide" by Gunther Verheyen might be an interesting, light lecture. You can also go through open assessments:

Cleared PSM-I certification exam today in first attempt with 94% score. Feeling accomplished!

  I just completed PSM I and let me tell you for the fact that you do not need anything other than Scrum Guide, don't mind boggle yourself by getting into too many details in too many books. According to my experience do the following,

1. Take Open Scrum, PO, Dev & Scaled multiple times everyday until you start getting 100%

2.  Take Mikhail's PSM I and Scaled test multiple times until you start getting 100% (http://mlapshin.com/index.php/psm-quiz/)

3. Take Mikhail's PSM I Real mode multiple time until you start getting 100% within 20-30 min, I could get 100% inside 10 min.

4. Read Scrum Guide.

That's all is needed, in main assessment you just need time management, by 1-2-3 you will get that.

I just took my PSM I today for the first time, sadly I did not pass. I got a 65/80. But like the others have mentioned listed below are helpful sample tests:

Plan to retake the exam this week, any other recommendations?

Try and understand what went right and what went wrong during your exam and figure out which all questions you have attempted wrongly and try to fill the knowledge gaps. I have passed the PSM-I a week ago with 96.3% in first attempt and I must say that the tips mentioned by Ankit Agrawal is sufficient to pass the exam. Though I would recommend you give it another week before attempting it again so that you have time to do retrospective to understand the areas of improvement.

1. Scrum Guide is the only book. Sometimes I wonder how the author has managed to capture the essence in a small book of 16 pages, please read it thorougly and try to understand each and every line of it. Believe me all answers to the questions are hidden in Scrum Guide.

I have read about management plaza from so many forums but I couldn't convince myself to give it a try. To be noted its a paid one and gives you 3 set of 80 questions as I have heard.
