Dr. Martin's Bio
Dr. Martin Mandischer holds a degree in Computer Science and is a certified Profesional Scrum Trainer, Project Management Professional (PMP®), certified LeSS practitioner and IREB® Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering. He teaches PSF, PSM I, PSPO, SPS and PAL-E classes.
During my professional career I worked as a developer, architect, requirements analyst, project manager, manager and company owner.
I have been working in the IT since 1980. Starting from small school projects on my Apple II, through university projects on highly parallel machines simulating neural networks and evolutionary algorithms.
My first "agile" project was from 1986 to 1988. It was at a large purchasing department of a university hospital. We were located directly at the customers site. Our first question was: "What is needed most?". So we replaced typewriters by computers and programmed software to print orders with automatically filled in vendors. We delivered hardware and software within 2 weeks and kept asking the above questions for 2 years. The software was a big success and it was replaced 20 years later by an SAP system.
In 1992 I started working on larger (30+ people) and distributed (China, India, Germany) enterprise projects as a project manager.
In 2000 first used methods such as iterative development with close customer collaboration, continuous integration, pair programming and automated testing.
In 2004 I discovered SCRUM and found that it actually covers my experiences from former projects. Since then I help my customers to employ Scrum, Kanban and other techniques to become agile.
In the last 8 years mainly worked with larger enterprises in their scaling and transformation initiatives.
Almost 100% of my students recommend my classes to their colleagues.
