The Professional Scrum Product Backlog Management Skills certification validates your knowledge of skills and techniques and how they are applied. Earning the PSPBM Skills certification shows that you have demonstrated an understanding on how to effectively manage a Product Backlog which is both transparent and focused on value.
This includes techniques for capturing customer needs, refining the Product Backlog, managing stakeholder expectations, and using empiricism for a competitive advantage.
PSPBM Skills includes questions from the following Focus Areas as defined in the Professional Scrum Competencies. While attendance is not a prerequisite, attending a Professional Scrum Product Backlog Management (PSPBM) skills course is strongly recommended. In addition, a strong understanding of Scrum is foundational to performing well on the PSPBM Skills certification; having earned your Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) or Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) will be advantageous, though not required.
