Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) is an interactive, hands-on course designed to empower Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts to understand, leverage, and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support their job and teams. This course builds on the Professional Scrum Product Owner™  (PSPO) and Professional Scrum Product Owner™ - Advanced (PSPO-A) courses by exploring the application of AI within the various stances of a Product Owner.

The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognised Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) certification exam. 

Course Overview

In this one day* course students engage in discussions and exercises to explore practical uses of AI tools and techniques across each stance of the Product Owner. In addition to the traditional stances, students are introduced to a new stance, focusing on ethics and security, providing essential guidance on adopting AI responsibly and securely within an organisation.

Throughout this course, attendees will gain the skills and confidence to harness AI effectively, ensuring they remain at the forefront of delivering value in an ever-evolving digital landscape. The Product Owner of tomorrow masters AI—this training ensures you are prepared for that future.

*  When offered in-person, this course is generally delivered over two consecutive days. When offered as a Live Virtual Class, the course may be broken up into more, shorter days.

Course Learning Outcomes

This course introduces Product Owners and related professionals to the fundamentals of AI and its applications in modern product development.  When a student leaves the classroom they will be able to:

• Describe AI and how it supports modern product development
• Explain key concepts in AI, including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI

Professional Scrum Certification

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials course receive a password to take the  Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) assessment. The industry-recognized PSPO-AI Essentials certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. Class participants of official Scrum.org classes who attempt the PSPO-AI Essentials assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.
