Scaled Professional Scrum Course

Course Duration: 2 days or content spread scross 3 days, 8:30 AM ET - 1:00 PM ET
Course Level: This course is for those who have multiple scrum teams working on one product as opposed to multiple independent scrum teams.  Applied learning targeted at development leads and managers and anyone else involved in formulating, participating or managing a large scale Scrum product development – multiple teams developing one integrated product. Organizations are encouraged to send a team of people that will be (or already are) running large Scrum initiatives.  It is especially targeted toward those who already are effectively running small Scrum projects and want to apply multiple Scrum teams to develop a large system or product, or those who are currently managing scaled projects.

Course Description

Scaled Professional Scrum™ (SPS) with Nexus is a 2-day course designed for anyone involved in building products across multiple teams to learn how they can scale product delivery with Scrum.  In this workshop, students use a hands-on case study to learn about the Nexus framework and over 50 practices to reduce dependencies at scale.

Why Scrum.org

Scrum.org is governed by the originator of scrum, Ken Schwaber, and as such instructs students on the very core of Scrum.  The material content is consistent with all scrum.org trainers, but improvements to are crowd sourced to the scrum.org trainers meaning many brilliant minds have contributed to the training material.  The material is intented to be transform the way you approach work, not just instructional on the mechanics of Scrum.

Scrum.org trainers have all been rigorously assessed by the scrum.org committee through exams, interviews, mock training, and other means.  Less than 5% of those who apply are accepted as trainers.

Assessment

As part of this class, students are offered one free attempt of the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment.  The industry-recognized SPS certification requires a minimum passing score of 85% and involves understanding of the Nexus Framework, knowledge from the course and of Scrum.
