This work complements Product Owners (maximizing value), Scrum Masters (improving flow and empiricism), and Developers (building the Increment). The AI Enablement Coach does not make product decisions or manage the Sprint—they enable better decisions and faster learning.

    Define where AI is allowed, where human review is mandatory, and how to handle sensitive data.
  4. Definition of Done Alignment
    If AI is used to produce or validate work, include quality checks (e.g., hallucination checks, source verification) in the DoD.
  5. Visible Metrics
    A simple team‑level dashboard (time saved, error rate, rework, usage frequency) reviewed each Sprint.

A 90‑Day Enablement Playbook (Aligned to Scrum)

Weeks 1–2: Discover & Frame

  • Workshop with Product Owner and Developers to target 3–5 candidate workflows.
  • Define hypotheses, guardrails, and initial acceptance criteria.
  • Baseline current performance (cycle time, defect rate).

  • Run micro‑enablement sessions tied to active PBIs.
  • Start office hours and capture friction in a shared backlog.

  • Boiling the ocean. Start with high‑volume, low‑risk tasks; scale after proving value.

Metrics That Matter (Simple & Team‑Friendly)

  • Adoption: % of team using AI weekly on the target workflow; frequency of use.
  • Impact: Median cycle‑time reduction, rework/defect deltas, first‑pass yield.
  • Quality: Accuracy vs. acceptance criteria; incidents prevented via guardrails.
  • Learning: # of playbooks shipped, # of refinements from Retrospectives.
  • EBM View: CV, T2M, A2I trends at the product or value‑stream level.
