In this one-day hands-on course, participants learn how to boost value creation by applying discovery and validation skills to product development. These skills are critical for building new products and improving existing ones.

Throughout the course, students apply what they learn by working through a real-world case study. Designed for Product Owners, product managers, business analysts, and product teams, this training helps you embed discovery and validation into your product development and delivery workflows.
By taking a user-centered approach, the course shows how discovery, delivery, and validation fit together into a complete, evidence-based product development process.

Certification
As with all Scrum.org courses, students receive one attempt at the assessment and qualify for a free second attempt if they take the first within 14 days. Initially, only course participants can earn the certification. The assessment will open to the public about six months after launch.

About Mary Iqbal
Mary Iqbal is the founder of Rebel Scrum and the organizer of the annual Scrum Day conference in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Professional Scrum Trainer with Scrum.org and a seasoned Project/Program Manager with over 20 years of experience, Mary has a proven track record of delivering high-impact results. She has led major projects, including a multimillion-dollar initiative with 11 teams and over 100 stakeholders to implement a claims processing platform that handles 400,000 health insurance claims weekly for veterans. Additionally, she spearheaded the East Region Claims Processing system for active-duty military personnel.
