Professional Scrum Master™- AI Essentials is a certification validates your knowledge in applying Artificial Intelligence as a Professional Scrum Master and shows an understanding of the use of AI tools and practices to enhance Scrum Team effectiveness. 

This course is a combination of team-based exercises and discussions that leads to exploring and understanding how to apply AI tools in order to improve the effectiveness of the Scrum Master. Throughout the course, students will explore, understand and start working with AI tools in practice.

The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Master - AI Essentials certification exam (PSM AIE). This certificate never expires and does not need any annual renewal.

Who should attend?

The Professional Scrum Master - AI Essentials course is for anyone involved in product delivery using the Scrum framework and wants to explore, understand and apply AI tools in practice. This course is not designed/developed for people who are willing to learn advanced concepts of AI such as machine learning or data science.

The course will be particularly beneficial for Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches who have a strong understanding of Scrum framework. In addition Agile Leaders, Team Facilitators, or any other professionals who want to explore AI tools in context of Scrum Framework will also be benefitted.

Course Overview:

In this one-day course, students engage in discussions and exercises to explore practical uses of AI tools and techniques to help them as a Scrum Master and to learn how to enable their Scrum Teams and organization to effectively use AI. The Professional Scrum Master – AI  Essentials (PSM - AI Essentials) course continues the journey into Scrum by diving deeper into:

• What AI means for Scrum Masters
• How Scrum Masters use AI to improve their capabilities and support the Scrum Team
• How AI can be applied by the members of a Scrum Team
• How AI influences the organization, including essential guidance on adopting AI responsibly and securely

Course objective

• Explain key AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and agentic AI
• Describe how AI supports effective Scrum Team facilitation and collaboration
• Discuss how AI tools can enhance the Scrum Master accountability through real-world use cases
• Demonstrate practical uses of generative AI tools to support the Scrum Team and Scrum events
• Demonstrate effective AI prompt engineering to get the desired results
• Integrate AI tools in day-to-day work
• Implement AI-informed behaviors in day-to-day work
• Apply ethical and responsible practices when adopting and working with AI

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to attend the PSM-AIE training, however deep understanding of the role of Scrum Master and Scrum Framework is essential. 

The participants can make the most of the training if they:

•    Have studied the scrum guide.
•    Have taken the Scrum Open assessment.
•    Have been working within a Scrum team.
•    Have been practicing Scrum as a Scrum Master.

Certification Assessments

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master - AI Essentials (PSM - AIE) assessment. PSM - AIE class participants who attempt the PSM - AIE assessment within 14 days of receiving their password if they do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
