Professional Scrum Product Owner

The Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) course teaches people how to maximize the delivery of product value. Agile Product Ownership today requires more than knowledge of how to write a User Story or manage a Product Backlog. Professional Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of everything that drives value from their products. The PSPO course helps students develop and solidify this understanding from early stakeholder management to release planning and delivery.

The PSPO course addresses significant skills gap that we have seen growing over the last few years as many Product Owners seem to misunderstand the breadth of the role’s responsibilities in delivering a successful product. Maximizing Return On Investment (ROI), optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and capitalizing on product Agility are some of the things a Product Owner should focus on, and this class addresses these.  Attendees will also gain a deep understanding of how the Scrum Framework and it's underlying principles can support their work

Target Audience

The training may be of interest to all involved in Product Development using the Scrum framework, but has been specifically conceived for those responsible for products from a business perspective, who are taking up the highly accountable role of Scrum Product Owner.

Pre-requisites

Attendees make the most of the class if they:

- Have read the Scrum Guide
- Have attempted the Scrum Open assessment
- Have some experience of working with Scrum

Assessments & Certification

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner course receive a password to take the PSPO I assessment, plus a free retake should they be unsuccessful (provided the first attempt is made within 14 days of the class concluding.  Attendees are also entitled to a discount on the PSPO II assessment.
