In this class, we explore how Artificial Intelligence can realistically support product work while maintaining sound judgment, responsible decision-making, and accountability for outcomes.

All participants receive two attempts at the Professional Scrum Product Owner – AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) assessment. Preparation for the assessment is integrated into the class through discussion, exercises, and examples rather than treated as a separate activity.

Participants will explore how Artificial Intelligence can support product discovery, decision-making, and experimentation within modern product development environments. The goal is not simply to memorize concepts for an assessment, but to understand how AI capabilities influence product thinking and how those insights apply within Scrum teams.

By the end of the course, you will be prepared to approach the PSPO-AI Essentials assessment with a clear understanding of the concepts rather than relying on memorization.

About the Instructor

Robert Pieper is the founder and Principal Consultant of Responsive Advisors and has been a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) with Scrum.org since 2013.

He has taught more than 300 Professional Scrum classes, training over 3000 students, and has delivered more than 5,000 hours of live classroom instruction across a wide range of industries and organizational contexts.

Before focusing on training and consulting, Robert worked as a full stack software developer, Scrum Master, and Product Owner, designing, building, and shipping real software products. Today he continues to practice Product Ownership as the Product Owner of a software product developed by his own company, making ongoing decisions about product direction, priorities, and customer value.

He has also managed teams and has been a business owner since 2016, giving him firsthand experience with the stakeholder dynamics, product decisions, and organizational constraints that Product Owners and Scrum teams must navigate.

Robert holds an MBA from Marquette University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is also a national public speaker and YouTuber, creating educational Scrum content for a broad professional audience.

His teaching style emphasizes clarity, practical reasoning, and understanding Scrum as a complete system rather than a collection of practices.
