Professional Scrum Product Owner - AI Essentials
Live Virtual Class, August 24-25, 2026
Class Overview
This event takes place online
This live virtual class runs over two half days: 24-25 August 2026, 13:00-17.30 BST.
Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) is an interactive one-day course designed to empower Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to understand, leverage, and apply Artificial Intelligence to support their job and teams.
AI is becoming a foundational capability in product management and is transforming every role. There are many ways to leverage AI to help discover, define, validate and deliver valuable products to market. AI can help create greater value, improve product validation and discovery efforts and foster effective product ownership.
Participants will gain the skills and confidence to harness AI effectively, ensuring they remain at the forefront of delivering value in an ever-evolving digital landscape. The Product Owner of tomorrow masters AI, and this training ensures that you are prepared for that future.
This course is appropriate for professionals who want to learn about AI tools and how to integrate them into their jobs. This includes people who are:
- Seeking to supplement their product ownership skills with AI tools
- Aiming to leverage AI for greater product value and innovation
- Interested in applying AI tools and techniques to improve product discovery and validation
- Wants to stay ahead in the evolving digital landscape by mastering AI fundamentals and practical applications
This is an introductory class that covers the basic "essentials" for participants to get started with AI in relation to product ownership.
Overview
During the course, participants receive an AI primer, and explore AI tools and practical use cases from the perspective of the preferred Product Owner stances (explored in depth in the Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced class).
- The customer representative
- The visionary
- The experimenter
- The decision maker
- The collaborator
- The influencer
In addition, participants are introduced to a new stance, "the orchestrator", focused on ethics security, and essential guidance on adopting AI responsibly and securely.
Prerequisites
No specific prior training, knowledge or experience is necessary to attend this class.
Participants will be sent instructions to create their own free versions of accounts for AI tools that will be used in the class. Participants will also be sent instructions to complete a small task using an AI tool prior to the class.
For all of our live virtual classes, we use Zoom as our conference tool. Zoom is very secure. It uses end-to-end encryption and delegates can only access the conference via an admin controlled waiting room. Activities are carried out with Mural. No software is required to be installed for these tools, though you may need to check that there are no security policies that block the use of these tools if you are joining us through a corporate network. We ask you to try to ensure a steady internet connection (for example by connecting through cable rather than with WiFi).
Certification and Assessment
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner - AI Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Product Owner - AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) assessment. PSPO-AI Essentials class participants who attempt the PSPO-AI Essentials assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score the pass mark of at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
