Queries regarding PSM II

@Curtis Slough - Thanks for the link, I've gone through the link but my query remains the same, as my doubts are not specified clearly there. There is some grey area in that.

So it would be really helpful if this can be explored a bit more.

I would contact Scrum.org support to clarify but this is the way I read it:

1: PSM 1 is just recommended prior to getting the PSM 2, it's not required.

2: No free retake. The password is good for 1 attempt only (per the PSM2 details page). The 14-day re-take was added for the PSM 1 and only if you take a PSM class prior to (this is per scrum.org support).

3. Is there any pre-requisite (knowledge, experience) for giving PSM II certification

If you're asking if you have to prove you've been a SM for a certain number of years in order to qualify to take this exam; then No there is no prerequisite. If you're asking if having several years experience as a SM will be beneficial in passing the PSM2, then Yes it will be hugely beneficial.

Curtis - Based on reading your responses, go for it!  You should be confident that you can pass PSM II!

@Chris, Thank you sir! I'm definitely going to attempt it by the end of July. I'm currently reading Essential Scrum by Ken Rubin and when I'm done with that I think I'll be much better prepared for it. If you've not read that book, it's an amazing, amazing resource.

I'm thinking the same that I should at least read one (more) good book before attempting PSM II.

Currently reading Don McGreal and Ralph Jocham's new book 'The Professional Product Owner'.  Or maybe I should switch to the 'The Nexus Framework' book instead, given my limited spare time.
