Hi,

I looked at scrum guide however I could not find a role like team lead. Scrum teams are self organized and autonomous. Does this mean that scrum teams not have team leaders?

Before answering that question, from your reading of the Scrum Guide, what sort of leadership do you think should be demonstrated?

Perhaps Faruq's asking from another perspective. In accordance with the (written) employment rules, everyone needs to have a title.

So, while the official title says one thing, you would end up doing something else, or something extra, or acting like a [insert position name]. A person's official title may be Program Manager, or Project Manager, or Business Analyst, or Architect, but they could also act as (unofficial) Product Owner, Scrum Master, or DT member.

Mere fact one has Team Leader next to their name doesn't automatically mean they can't be part of Scrum teams. It's just that, when breating next to the other development team members, their title magically dissapears because, as you've pointed out, there are no titles in a DT. Also, I should note, it is of course good for official team leaders to drop any possible arrogance they may have due to their knowledge, seniority, etc, and accept they are part of a team where, given their knowledge, experience, whatever, they should serve as models, and work with the less experienced people to bring their skills higher.
