I have a meaning that language of Scrum guide is sometime is sometime too sophisticated, creating complexity in understanding and implementing Scrum in other languages.

Simple example: why do they say "impediment", instead of "obstacle"? Its a same thing, and impediment is translated as "obstacle" at may languages any way

Great question. Some thoughts…

An obstacle to me implies something temporary or something you can move around, and once you circumvent it, you are good. A snake was on my hiking path creating an obstacle I had to move around.

Impediment to me is something that impedes you and will continue to impede you until it is dealt with. There is a snake wrapped around my leg biting me and it is slowing me down and impeding my progress :)
