If the Definition of Done is changed (adding more conditions) - should we re-estimate the stories in the product backlog

Hi,

We've add a new condition in the Definition of Done that's imply more work for each new future story (substantially more work for some new stories ).

We have a reference user story - let's say 5 SP.

If we have an US in Product Backlog initially estimated at 5 SP should we re-estimate this taking into consideration the new additional condition(s) from the Definition of Done?

Regards,

Daniel

If you didn't, then would the Product Backlog still reflect the amount of work which is genuinely believed to remain?

Ni Mitchell,

Yes - we have to re-estimate the stories in order to reflect the work remaining.

Regards,

Daniel
