SCRUM - New Comer
From all SCRUMs training available, which should be the first one to take? Is there a curriculum showing the path to SCRUM trainings available? Which one should be first, then second and so forth?
Thanks
It depends on who you are, who you want to be, and what is needed in the team/organisation.
There are different training paths for the three Scrum roles: Scrum Master, Developer, and Product Owner. Other paths are for leading managers within the organisation.
The exact steps needed also depend on the situation. For example, if you are a Scrum Master who often needs to help new Product Owners, it makes sense to take some steps on their training path. However, if all your POs are very experienced, you may require different training.
The answers above are quite spot on.
I agree that the variety of courses can feel daunting, and knowing where to start is not always easy. However, if you are not focused on a specific role such as Product Owner, I would recommend starting with the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) training and certification. This path provides a good introduction to Scrum and builds a strong foundational understanding of the framework. The PSM is the most straighforward entry into Scrum I believe, and you will also notice that the other courses and certifications are built on the same concepts.
Start with reading the Scrum Guide (as many times as possible :-) It is only around 13 pages, but contains all you need to start. (https://www.scrum.org/resources/scrum-guide)
