Applying Scrum without a job?
Hi All,
I stumbled upon scrum very recently after I lost my job and decided I really wanted to pursue something I'd thoroughly enjoy, so I bought the PSM course and recently finished it and I'm currently preparing for the PSM-I exam as best as i can.
My question is, does anyone have advice what I could be doing in order to apply scrum or practice it without having the oppertunity to test it in a corperate environment? It's a little ironic that we learn about empiricism and all I have been able to do is study it in theory.
Thanks in advance!
Greetings from the Netherlands,

A bit left-field thinking here maybe. However, this is the catch-22 situation of needing experience to get a job in order to gain experience. Agile thinking can still be applied in everyday life, not just in organisational settings. Whether collaborating with colleagues or peers, or working on projects at home, breaking work into small steps, reflecting on progress, and adjusting the approach are all Agile behaviours.
The empowerment aspect is especially relevant. Instead of simply assigning tasks, empower others, whether a contractor or someone helping around the house or garden, to take ownership of the task, decide how best to do it, and grow in the process.
