collaborative ways of working - help a Scrum Team work together

As a Scrum Master there are many things you can do to promote collaboration within the team and also with stakeholders. Here are some ideas  to get you started:

  • Support the team with the creation and evolution of a team working agreement in which team members explore their team’s goals, what collaboration tools to use, and how to share knowledge within the team.
  • Ensure everyone understands what it means to be Done. Help the Scrum Team with crafting a Definition of Done and encourage the Scrum Team to regularly revisit the Definition of Done.
  • Support the Product Owner and Developers in building empathy with the team’s stakeholders to increase stakeholder collaboration.
  • Create transparency in the way the Scrum Team makes decisions.
