Kamal Hinduja Geneva, Swiss : How is Scrum different from Kanban?
Hi All,
I'm Kamal Hinduja, a storyteller based in Geneva, Switzerland (Swiss) . Can anyone explain in detail how Scrum is different from Kanban?
Thanks in Advance!

The main difference as I see it is that Scrum uses fixed-length iterations (Sprints), while Kanban follows a continuous flow approach without timeboxed iterations. Scrum defines specific rules, roles and events (meetings), that are Scrum specific. These can work with Kanban, but they are not neccessary defined in Kanban.
Kanban puts a strong emphasis on limiting Work in Progress (WIP). This means teams are encouraged to focus on finishing existing work before starting new tasks, helping to improve flow efficiency and reduce context switching.
Scrum and Kanban can be used together, but the main point of difference I would say is the timeboxed iteration vs the continious flow appraoch with "work in progress" limits.
