Intelligent Lockdown

Intelligent Lockdown

The Scrum Guide is a powerful piece of text. The process it describes does not include instructions to deal with an unknown crisis like the pandemic. Still, our teams can keep on working and continue to produce value.

Scrum has proven to be Covid-19 proof. Do you agree?

Virtual Bingo

Virtual bingo

The Scrum Masters have a hard time during this “working from home” period in trying to keep the team cohesion intact and team morale high. There are many initiatives to replace the regular social contacts we have at the office.

We see virtual beers, virtual coffees, virtual whatever. The goal should be to get people to interact and connect at a human level. What I see is there are many shortcomings in the tools we use to simulate and support how humans interact when they are casual in a group: Lots of one on ones, skipping from one conversation to another, cracking a joke with your buddy at the other end of the room…

In your experience, are the “virtual beers” doing what they are supposed to do? Or are they a burden?
