BOSTON, June 26, 2025 - Scrum.org, the Home of Scrum, today announced a new instructor-led training course -  Professional Scrum Product Owner™ - AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials). This interactive, hands-on course empowers Product Owners, Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand, leverage, and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support their jobs and teams.

AI is becoming a foundational capability in product management and is transforming every role. There are many ways to leverage AI to help discover, define, validate and deliver valuable products to market. Students of PSPO-AI Essentials learn how AI can help create greater value, improve product validation and discovery efforts and foster effective Product Ownership.

This course introduces Product Owners and related professionals to the fundamentals of AI and its applications in modern product development. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Describe AI and how it supports modern product development
  • Explain key concepts in AI, including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI
  • Discuss how AI tools can enhance Product Ownership through real-world use cases

Additionally, the emphasis the course has on security and ethics will help teams make smart decisions regarding their use of AI.”

PSPO-AI Essentials is taught through the lens of Product Ownership and the stances a Product Owner takes.
