 The Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) course teaches people how to maximize the delivery of value through products and systems.

This course will be delivered in a Live Virtual format over (4) half day sessions by our instructors.  

More than writing requirements or managing a Product Backlog, Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of all product management aspects that create value from their products. The PSPO course focuses on all of these areas to teach students how to maximize the value of software products and systems.

The Professional Scrum Product Owner course may be valuable to all involved in product development in the Scrum framework, but has been specifically designed for those accountable for maximizing the value of delivered products and services, including:

• Product Managers and Scrum Product Owners responsible for the delivery of a product

• Strategy Managers responsible for the overarching direction of a product or product family

Prerequisites

Attendees will be able to make the most of the class if they:

• Have studied the Scrum Guide (required)

• Have taken the Scrum Open (free online assessment)

• Have taken the Applying Professional Scrum course, or have experience on or exposure to a Scrum Team

• Possess a general understanding of requirements and requirements decomposition

• Have been on or closely involved with a project that builds or enhances a product

• Want to know more about how Scrum works, how to use it, and how to implement it in an organization

The PSPO I is a challenging assessment. There’s a mixture of knowledge and application questions that move beyond just facts about Scrum and Product Ownership. By being fully present in this class, you will gain the confidence and tools you will need to be best prepared to pass the assessment.

• One free attempt at the PSPO I assessment (does not expire) - a $200 value

  • If you attend this Scrum.org class and attempt the PSPO I certification assessment within 14 days but do not achieve a score of at least 85% you will be given a 2nd attempt at no cost

• One discounted attempt at the PSPO II assessment (does not expire) - normally $500

• A one-hour follow-up session for additional guidance on the assessment and help with difficult scenarios

Product Ownership is the most pivotal and most misunderstood role in organizations, and I want to help set Product Owners up for success. A little about me - I have worked for over a decade in the tech industry and was a Product Owner for the majority of that time. I have been a Product Owner or served as one in a multitude of organizations through my career, from startups to early-stage growth companies to public corporations. I am passionate about Product Ownership as an organizational construct and how we can use this role to help bring the human focus back to organizations. I have helped thousands of people better understand how to work with their product, who they are as a Product Owner, and what it means to be one.
