Professional Scrum Product Owner–AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) is an interactive, hands-on course designed to empower Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to understand, leverage, and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support their roles and teams.

This course builds on the Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) and Professional Scrum Product Owner™ – Advanced (PSPO-A) courses by exploring the application of AI within the various stances of a Product Owner. The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Product Owner–AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) certification exam.

This is the official Scrum.org course taught by an experienced trainer certified by Scrum.org.

About Mary Iqbal

Mary Iqbal is a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) with Scrum.org and the founder of Rebel Scrum, an Agile training and consulting organization that helps companies transform the way they deliver value.

As an Agile Transformation Manager at WPS Health Insurance, Mary was responsible for organizational agility across more than 60 Agile teams and 30 products. She has hands-on experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Program Manager, and Project Manager, and has led multi-million-dollar initiatives to launch new government contracts and double the size of a major line of business.

Mary is also the organizer of Scrum Day Madison and Scrum Day Houston, annual conferences that bring together Scrum practitioners and leaders from around the world to share insights, experiences, and emerging practices.

Her teaching style is engaging, practical, and grounded in real-world experience. Mary blends deep knowledge of Scrum and leadership with an understanding of how modern tools — including AI — are reshaping the way product teams work and deliver value.

In this one-day course, students engage in discussions and hands-on exercises to explore practical applications of AI tools and techniques across each role of the Product Owner.

In addition to the traditional stances of the Product Owner, students are introduced to a new stance focused on ethics and security, providing essential guidance for adopting AI responsibly and securely within their organizations.
