I’ve been a Professional Scrum Trainer for well over a decade. I’ve taken the Scrum.org assessments close to 50 times and worked with a lot of students preparing for them—some pass easily, others struggle. Over time, I’ve developed a pretty clear view of how these assessments are constructed, where people get tripped up, and how to approach them more effectively.

One thing that often gets missed is the purpose of the assessments. They’re not just credentials—they’re designed to reinforce a deep understanding of Scrum. If you treat them purely as something to “pass,” you’ll miss what they’re actually trying to develop.

After seeing a lot of the advice out there, I got frustrated with the amount of low-quality practice material—especially AI-generated questions and simulations that don’t really reflect how Scrum works. So I built my own set of assessment simulations. They’re designed to match the style, depth, and decision patterns of the real exams.

These are original. They’re not Scrum.org sanctioned, and they’re not copies of actual exam questions.

So if you’re preparing for PSM I/II or PSPO I/II, here are my free samples based on my experience:

There are also more complete paid versions if you want deeper coverage.

I’ve also written two books that focus specifically on assessment strategy and pattern recognition. They break down the kinds of cognitive traps people run into and how to interpret questions the way the assessments are actually evaluating them:

If you really want to understand Scrum—not just pass a test—take a class. Being able to ask questions about your own environment and get direct feedback makes a big difference. My classes are listed here.
