Course Overview

The Professional Scrum Master course helps you get a solid grounding in Scrum and its core principles.

You’ll learn about the Scrum framework, mechanics, and Scrum roles. The course then goes further by teaching students how to use Scrum to optimise value, productivity, and the total cost of ownership of systems and products.

The course covers all the topics related to Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) and Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) certifications assessments. Course delegates learn through instructor-led presentations and guidance, and also team-based exercises which are aimed at making sure the techniques are tangible and can be properly implemented in the real world.

Scrum.org maintains the defined curriculum and materials for the Professional Scrum Master course and selects only the most qualified instructors to deliver this course. Each instructor lends his or her individual experience and expertise to the course, but all students learn the same core content. This improves their ability to pass the Professional Scrum Master assessments and use Scrum in the workplace.

The PSM I certification is achieved by taking and passing an online assessment in your own time in the days/weeks following the course. It can be taken from any internet connected computer.

What is required to achieve the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification?
The PSM I assessment is comprised of 80 multiple choice questions that must be completed in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 85%

What are the course hours?
Courses start at 09:00 and finish at 17:00 each day

About The Trainer

Simon Kneafsey is a Professional Scrum Trainer with Scrum.org. He is based in London and offers Scrum training courses with certification all over the world. He trains and coaches Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Development Teams and organisations in their transition to Scrum and Agile.

Simon has 10+ years experience with Scrum and 20+ years of experience in IT. He has been there, done it and has the scars to prove it ;-).

Simon led the development of the Times Newspaper iPad app (top 5 grossing app in the UK iTunes store since launch). Prior to this he led the development of digital properties for Associated Newspapers including www.dailymail.co.uk (the largest newspaper website in the world) and www.metro.co.uk.

Over the last 10 years Simon has also been helping companies transition to Scrum and Agile including Pearson, Marks & Spencer, Google and Vodafone.

In the past few years Simon has trained 500+ people in 100+ organisations and has spent the last year travelling the world running Scrum training courses.
