What will you learn during the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) training?

First, we take a look at the theory of Scrum. To create an in-depth understanding of the framework, this is essential. We also talk about the different roles within a team and your role as Professional Scrum Master. What does it mean to be a Scrum Master and what’s your relationship to, for instance, a Product Owner? After this we take a deep-dive. What is servant leadership? And, how do events help create a high-value product? After the training you are able to set up a Scrum Team and deal with complex Scrum issues.

PSM I Certification

The PSM I exam (plus one retake) and certificate is included in the training. The exam is taken online at your moment of choice. Please note, only if you take the exam within two weeks of completing the training will you receive a free second chance. After passing the PSM I exam, you will:

  • receive a Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master certificate.
  • become a lifelong member of the Scrum.org community.
  • be included in the global Professional Scrum Master database.
  • receive a 40% discount on the PSM II exam.

About the Trainer

Punit Doshi

Punit has over 23 years of IT experience and is an Agile practitioner for over 12 years. He has worked with Boston Consulting Group to assist their clients in strategizing their Digital transformations. He has played the role of Enterprise Agile coach at a large US bank and has passion for Enterprise Level Transformation. Punit has trained over 2,000 people in Agile, Scrum and Kanban. He has worked in different industries (Finance, Insurance, Healthcare, Publishing and IT Research) at different levels (Software Developer to being a Change Agent).

With a software engineering background, Punit has a deep technical understanding and is able to coach development teams on engineering practices and software development principles. He also works closely with senior management, CxO levels for business and product strategy. He has solid experience in working with numerous organisations in USA, Europe and Asia where he collaborated across different cultures and coached at all levels on servant leadership, empirical thinking, bottom-up intelligence, the power of self-managing, evidence-based management and validate-learning.
