Professional Scrum Master II

Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) is an advanced Scrum Master class designed to support Scrum Masters in their professional development. It is intended for Scrum Masters with at least one year of experience who are looking to grow their knowledge and abilities. This course helps students understand the stances that characterize an effective Scrum Master while diving deep into how they serve the Developers, Product Owner and organization. It also teaches students about related practices and skills to enable them to have the right types of conversations and how to apply them at their work environments.

Students learn through interactive instruction and engaging exercises Throughout the class, instructor will provide stories, exercises, and facilitation techniques (such as “Liberating Structures”) that can be brought back to your organization.

Who Should Attend

The Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) is an advanced course specifically designed for experienced Scrum Masters who have a thorough understanding of the Scrum framework. It is particularly beneficial for those people with at least one year of Scrum Master experience.

Prerequisites

Attendees will be able to make the most of the class if they:

• Have been a Scrum Master for at least a year
• Have studied the Scrum Guide
• Have taken the Scrum Open (free online assessment)
• Want to expand their capabilities as a Scrum Master

Assessment & Certification

Upon course completion, attendees have the opportunity to take an online assessment of their skills and earn their Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) and/or Professional Scrum Master III (PSM III) certification.

In class, you will learn the importance of inspection, adaptation, and fast feedback cycles. To reinforce those concepts, if you attend this Scrum.org class and attempt the PSM II certification assessment within 14 days but do not achieve a score of at least 85%, you will be given a 2nd attempt at no cost.
